The City of Elyria is now accepting applications for the Spruce Up Housing Beautification Program. Approved applicants may receive a grant up to $5,000 to assist with exterior home repairs. The program aims to reduce blight and beautify the City’s housing stock. Funds are provided through the America Rescue Plan.
To be eligible for funding the property must be lived in and owned by the applicant. The property must be located within a Qualified Census Tract or the property owner must be at or below 185% of the federal poverty guidelines. Program funding is limited. It is estimated up to 50 applications will be approved. All applications will be reviewed for approval in the order in which they are received.
