The mission of the Elyria Parks and Recreation Department is to provide all persons, of all ages, affordable programs and services of high quality in safe, accessible and well-maintained facilities.  Premier customer service is a priority.  We are endeavoring to provide parks that promote the natural beauty of the environment and a wide range of leisure time opportunities.  We offer popular programs for every age resident from pre-schoolers to senior citizens. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, please contact our main office at (440) 326-1500.

Registration for most programming is accepted by the Parks and Recreation Main Office between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday though Friday.  Registration and payment are required for programs with designated deadlines. Some programs may require an additional fee for non-residents, defined as individuals who do not live or work in the city of Elyria.  Payment may be made by cash, check, debit card, Visa or Mastercard.  Credit/debit card payments may be made in person, by mail by fax or only at the main office. We now also accept phone registrations with a debit card, Visa or Mastercard payment.   Registrations for skating lessons are ONLY taken at the ice rink and registrations for swimming lessons are ONLY taken at the swimming pools.  The ice rink and swimming pools are unable to accept credit/debit card payments.   A special one-stop registration for swimming lessons and all other current recreation programs will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 9:00 AM - Noon at the East Recreation Center
