TED M. PILESKI, CPA

Ted Pileski has more than 34 years of public finance experience with the City of Elyria. During his time with the City, he has served in various capacities, such as Deputy Auditor, Chief Deputy Auditor, and City Auditor. He plays an instrumental role in the City contributing to the successful implementation of many economic development projects.

Pileski is a graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and Lorain County Community College, and is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College. He is a Recipient of the Wall Street Journal Achievement Award at LCCC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists the Mayor’s office in the preparation and administration of the City’s operating budget and capital outlay. Manages and administers the City’s debt program.

As the fiscal office of the City, responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll, internal auditing, fixed assets, cash management and financial reporting functions, as well as the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report, analysis of investment alternatives for the City and performing month-end and year-end closings.
Works with the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) to manage the collection and administration of the City income tax revenues and enforcement of the City tax code. Responsible for collection and administration of hotel/motel tax revenues. Click here to file RITA taxes.
