Hometown Heroes Banner Program

The City of Elyria will offer its Hometown Hero Banner Program again this year to honor those who have served in the Armed Forces and have ties to the City of Elyria. Each banner will recognize one service person and will include their name, branch of service, and photo. Banners will be displayed along Broad St., Middle Avenue, 2nd, and 3rd Street from the end of May through mid-November. The full-color banners are printed double-sided and measure 24″W x 48″H.

BANNERS WILL BE DISPLAYED FOR A THREE (3) YEAR TIME PERIOD AND THEN RETURNED TO THE BUYER OF THE BANNER. IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A BANNER YEARS PRIOR YOU WILL BE NOTIFEIED WHEN YOUR BANNERS DISPLAY PERIOD HAS ENDED.

HOW DO I PURCHASE A BANNER?

Banners are SOLD OUT for this year.

Map link below will be updated with this years banners locations when banners are complete.

In 2022, 30 families purchased a banner in honor Veteran’s Day.

The City of Elyria will display these banners each year from the end of May through mid-November.
