Adoption of Ordinance Amending Community Reinvestment Area No. 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6
Notice is hereby given that on February 2, 2026, the City of Elyria, Ohio adopted Ordinance No’s. 2026-15, 2026-16, 2026-17, 2026-18, 2026-19, ordinances amending Community Reinvestment Area No. 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 (CRA 2, CRA 3, CRA 4, CRA 5, CRA 6) in accordance with provisions of Ohio Revised Code, as amended by Senate Bill 33.
The amendments adopt the revised framework created under Senate Bill 33. Senate Bill 33 amended Ohio’s CRA program to modify school district approval thresholds, CRA agreement requirements, annual reporting processes, program fees, and income thresholds for revenue sharing. A complete copy of ordinances referenced above together with Guidance on Senate Bill 33 and its Impacts on the Ohio CRA Program are on file and available for public inspection during regular business hours in the Office of Community Development, 131 Court Street, Suite 302, Elyria, Ohio 44035, and may be accessed on the City’s website at the link below.
In accordance with Senate Bill 33, the ordinances will be submitted to the Ohio Department of Development before any tax exemptions may be granted within the amended CRA’s .
