Ensure They Shine: Free Family Event Strengthens Families in Lorain County on April 25
Lorain County, OH – Presented by Lorain County Children and Families First Council, Lorain County Children Services, City of Elyria Parks and Recreation Department, and Ohio Department of Children and Youth Children’s Trust Fund, Ensure They Shine invites families across the community to attend a free, family-friendly event dedicated to celebrating children, strengthening families, and connecting residents to valuable local resources.
At the heart of this event is a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to grow, thrive, and shine. Ensure They Shine brings together agencies, organizations, and service partners from across Lorain County to support families in one welcoming and engaging space. Whether families are looking for resources, activities, or simply a fun afternoon together, this event will have something for everyone.
Ensure They Shine will take place on Saturday, April 25th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the North Park Ice Arena, located at 901 Duffey Street, Elyria, OH 44035. Families attending can enjoy a wide variety of free activities and experiences including bounce houses, crafts, photo booth, character visits, nearly 50 community resources, live entertainment including Outback Ray and a strolling magician, wellness demonstrations, raffles and giveaways and much more.
“We believe prevention starts with connection,” said Chelsea Freeman-Yates, Executive Director of Lorain County Children and Families First Council. “Ensure They Shine is about bringing families together with the resources and support they need, while creating a joyful space where children can simply be kids.”
