The City of Elyria is currently responding to two water main breaks in the area between Middle Avenue and East Avenue.
• Howe Street, between Middle Avenue and East Avenue
• 200 block of 6th Street, between Middle Avenue and East Avenue
Crews are on site and actively working in both locations. As repairs continue, water service will need to be temporarily shut off to these areas, and road closures may be required to allow crews to safely complete the work.
Repairs at both locations are anticipated to be completed by approximately 6:30 p.m. today, February 2nd, barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Once water service is restored, if you experience discolored water, please run cold water until it clears.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes, as traffic delays should be expected.
