Beginning today, September 1, 2026, DL Smith will begin making sidewalk repairs as part of the Safe Routes to School program. Approximately 11,000 feet of sidewalk patching and ADA ramp repairs will be completed as part of this program.

The work will take place in the area surrounding Eastern Heights Elementary School, including the following streets:

Garford Avenue, between Cambridge Avenue and Colgate Avenue
Prospect Street, between Cambridge Avenue and Colgate Avenue
Colgate Avenue, between Prospect Street and Garford Avenue
Cambridge Avenue, between Garford Avenue and Fairlawn Avenue
Princeton Avenue, between Prospect Street and Fairlawn Avenue
Eastern Heights Boulevard, between Prospect Street and Fairlawn Avenue
Harvard Avenue, between Prospect Street and Fairlawn Avenue
Cornell Avenue, between Prospect Street and Fairlawn Avenue
Denison Avenue, between Prospect Street and Fairlawn Avenue
Stanford Avenue, between Prospect Street and Fairlawn Avenue
This work is expected to take several weeks to complete. Please use extra caution when walking through the work areas and follow any posted signs or temporary pedestrian restrictions.
