Elyria Celebrates Extra Mile Day on November 1

Mayor Kevin A. Brubaker has proclaimed November 1, 2026, as Extra Mile Day, recognizing the residents who go above and beyond to make Elyria a better place.

Elyria is fortunate to have so many residents who care deeply about their community. Through volunteerism, service to others, and a willingness to lend a hand, these individuals make a difference in the lives of their neighbors and help make our city a better place to live.

Extra Mile Day is an opportunity to celebrate that spirit of service and recognize those who give back to our community in so many ways.

To everyone who goes the extra mile for Elyria and the people who call it home — thank you! Your kindness, generosity, and dedication are truly appreciated.
