5/1/26 — The City of Elyria is currently in the process of collecting survey data and completing environmental studies to facilitate the design of the final construction documents associated with the resurfacing of Murray Ridge Road between Albrecht Road and Lowell Street in the City of Elyria and Elyria Township. This project will be administered by the City as an ODOT Local-Let project using NOACA funding (80%) and Ohio Public Works Commission funding (20%).
Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2026 and possible carryover into the spring of 2027. No additional right of way or utility relocation are anticipated to construct the project. Construction shall consist of milling existing pavement, full depth pavement repairs as needed and resurfacing. New thermoplastic pavement markings and signage will be installed. Traffic will be maintained at all times during construction.
