The City of Elyria and the Council of Veterans will host the Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade on Monday, May 25th. This annual event pays tribute to the brave individuals who have selflessly sacrificed their lives while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
The application deadline is Wednesday, May 6th at 12:00 p.m. The Office of the Mayor and Safety Service Director will review all applications weekly. If your application or organization is approved, you will be notified by a member of our team. At that point, you will receive final details regarding arrival time, staging location, and your designated division. It’s important to note that completing the application does not guarantee participation in the parade. Absolutely no campaigning is allowed, although elected officials are welcome to take part without engaging in active campaigning. To sign up, see the form below!

● Begins at Court Street and Broad Street
● East on Broad Street to Washington Avenue
● North on Washington Avenue to Harrison Street
● East on Harrison to Glenwood Street
● Parade ends at Ridge Lawn Cemetery at the intersection of Harrison and Glenwood
*** If you are participating in the parade, it’s crucial for all attendees to arrange transportation from the parade’s endpoint back to their initial point of origin.
