The Engineering Department oversees all street resurfacing projects within the City. Annually, all streets that are requested for repair by council or residents of the City are compiled into one list and ranked by the Engineering Department. Estimates are prepared for the lowest quality streets and presented to council for approval. Council approves streets based on the annual budget. If Council approves a street for resurfacing, the Engineering Department prepares all drawings and bid documents, administers the contract and performs construction inspections.
