Veterans Tree

The city of Elyria and Elyria council of veterans are teaming up to recognize veterans during the coming holiday season.

A special ‘veterans tree’ will be on display in city hall decorated with photo ornaments of local veterans and current active duty service men and women.

The veterans photo along with the branch of service –army, marine, navy, air force, national guard, etc. Need to be emailed to Elyria council of veterans who will print the photo in black and white, mount it on cardboard, and hang it. The tree will be decorated on December 1st and will remain up during the holiday season. The public is encouraged to stop at city hall during that time and view the tree.

Photos are accepted now until December 12th.

Better quality photos will make better ornaments. Don’t forget to include the veterans name and branches of service. If anyone has questions please send them to the same email address.
