CITY OF ELYRIA EXTENDS COVID-19 DRIVEN ADJUSTMENTS
ELYRIA, OH- The Office of the Mayor is extending its original order forbidding the shutoff of water services for every Elyria water customer until 11:59 PM on May 31, 2020. The original order was set to expire on May 11. Residents and customers are still deeply encouraged to pay their water bills on time, as any lapse in payment may result in fees. Payments can be made online.
For questions/concerns, residents and customers can contact the Utilities Department at 440-326-1570.
Additionally, Elyria City Hall will remain closed to the public until 8:00 AM June 1. City services will continue in remote, modified, and socially-distant ways that allow departments to maintain quality services while ensuring a safe and healthy environment. Recreation facilities, including City playgrounds, basketball and/or tennis courts will also remain closed/roped-off at this time, however park trails are open for residents to enjoy.
The public is asked to utilize phone, email, and web services to connect with departments instead of coming into the facility. City Departments can be contacted directly for questions, concerns, and requests at the numbers below:
Note: As some departments are remote, response times may vary.
