We are currently accepting applications for the Recreation Specialist position in the Parks and Recreation Department.
Qualified candidates will:
• Has basic knowledge about Sports and youth programs
• Open the Recreation Centers for sporting events/programs
• Will act as a Facility Manager during programs/Sports
• Will set up for and attend programs/sports
• Will prepare/review documents for various programs/sports
• Understand league/program rules and enforce them
• Greet/Welcome all program participants in the facility
• Ensure that referees, instructors and/or program staff are present.
• Recreation Specialist should be able to step in and cover the area of need in the event of a call off for programs/sports
• Be able to answer any questions that referees and program staff may have
• Take Entry Fees at Open Gyms
• Take registrations
• Be present at the welcome table (inside the gym) in case parents have any questions
• Complete reports as needed
• Close the building
• Has a general understanding of sports and programs (preferred)
• Must be at least 18 years old
The starting rate for this position is $14.70
