The Elyria Police Department would like to introduce the new Parking Enforcement Agent Dean Arroyo. PEA Arroyo is a lifetime resident of Lorain County, has been married for 27 years and has two adult sons. PEA Arroyo graduated from Lorain High School in 1974 then attended LCCC and Notre Dame College. PEA Arroyo worked for CEI Electric Company for 20 years and also worked as a Corrections Officer at the Elyria City Jail. Most recently, PEA Arroyo worked for the City of Lorain as a Parks & Rec Coordinator and is currently the Youth Director for St. Anthony’s School.
PEA Arroyo is excited about establishing a positive working relationship with the businesses in downtown area. PEA Arroyo will work hard to enforce the parking laws in the downtown area which will increase accessibility to parking for the downtown businesses. Please feel free to speak with PEA Arroyo when you see him in the downtown area with any concerns.
Please also be advised that the City of Elyria will begin enforcing section 351.22 (b) Permit or Two-Hour Parking On Other City Owned Lots. Effective July 2nd, 2012, the Parking Enforcement Officer will issue parking tickets for violations of any parking provisions of Chapter 351 and 353 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Elyria Traffic Code.
