INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Program Description

The goal of the Internship Program is to provide training and experience in the field of law enforcement to qualified college students who have a desire to pursue such a career.

The program is designed to provide the foundation a person will need to keep them on the right ethical and professional path to transition into a law enforcement career. Volunteers must understand that they are not sworn officers and will not be compensated. The program operates under the authority of the Services Division. The deadline for submitting an internship application for spring/summer is April 15th of each year. Applications received after April 15th will kept on file and reviewed the following year.
