Posted on December 1, 2017 at 4:27 pm

autumnFinal pick up routes for leaf collection have been extended due to favorable weather conditions. City crews will begin the final week of collection on Monday, December 4, 2017.

There is no set schedule for collection as weather conditions, equipment and personnel – fluctuate day to day.

The weather forecast into next week will necessitate the conversion of the leaf trucks to their snow removal duties. Therefore next week’s collection is the final for the season. After December 9, 2017, residents are encouraged to bag any remaining leaves (brown bags only) and place them out on their regular trash collection day.

The Barnes/Elyria Compost facility will be closed for the season after close of business on Saturday, December 2, 2017. They will reopen in the Spring of 2018.
