We at the City of Elyria feel it is job one to provide safe, reliable, and cost effective water to the citizens, businesses and consumers of the Elyria Water Pumping Plant.

People depend on clean water everyday. We use it for drinking, bathing, recreation, farming, and cooking. It is used to generate power, to carry wastes to the wastewater plant. Our duty to protect the health of the public, by providing clean, safe drinking water for everyone to use. This began in the late 1800’s when Elyria bought the privately owned water plant.
