aaResidents in the city of Elyria are permitted to have two Rummage/Garage sales per year, per address, for four consecutive days each. (Chapter 745, Elyria Codified Ordinance)  A permit must be obtained for each sale and is available at no cost at the Safety Service Office on the third floor of City Hall, 131 Court St. Suite 301, or at the Chronicle Telegram, 225 East Ave.,Elyria.

	aaYou have multiple ways of getting your dog licensed in the city of Elyria. If you prefer to register your dog online go to the Lorain County Auditor's website by clicking here. If you are unable to register your dog online you may also view the County's database for dog registration locations by clicking here.

	aaIf you are a home owner, state law and local codes require proper backflow protection for lawn irrigation systems.  If you are a business/office owner, state and local codes require all commercial buildings to have proper backflow protection. 	aaYou'll need to send, fax or email a letter to the Mayor’s Office stating the specifics of the event.  It will then go through the Police Department, Fire Department and Mayor’s Office for approval and a permit will be issued.  We will need at least one to two weeks notice.

	aaHe does perform weddings by appointment only.  You need to call the office to schedule the ceremony. You must have a valid Marriage License from Lorain County.
