BASKETBALL SKILLS CLINICS

(Boys and Girls Ages 6 - Grade 3)

Participants will learn the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and shooting.  Basic rules and fun scrimmages included.  An adjustable height basketball goal will be used.  The program will be held at the South Recreation Center.

Each participant receives a basketball to keep.

YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUES 2010 - 2011

(Boys and Girls Grades 3-4 & 5-6)

Teams are coached by volunteers who are trained through the National Youth Sports Coaches Association.  The program begins December 4, 11 and 18 with preseason practices.  Teams practice one night during the week and play an eight game schedule on Saturddays beginning January 8.

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2010 - 2011

(For Boys Who Do NOT PLAY on Junior High School Teams)

A league for boys who do not play on the team at their Junior High School.  The program begins December 4, 11 and 18 with preseason practices.  Teams practice one night during the week and play an eight game schedule on Thursday evenings beginning January 6.

ELYRIA CATHOLIC MINI-BASKETBALL CAMP

(Boys and Girls Grades 4-6)

Elyria Catholic Varsity Boys Coach Phil Kuchta, his staff and players will be instructing a basketball camp for boys and girls in grades 4-6.  The camp will be held at the South Recreation Center from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m., Saturdays, October 30, November 6 and 13.  Participants will learn skills, drills and tips to the sport of basketball.

Each camper receives a t-shirt.

START SMART BASKETBALL

(Ages 3-5)

Start Smart Basketball, a program of the National Alliance For Youth Sports, teaches children the basic motor skills and sports mechanics necessary to play organized basketball while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents.  Classes will be held at the South Recreation Center.
