The city of Elyria is prod to be a 18 year "Tree City USA" Member.  As our continued commitment to our city's trees, we are declaring Thursday, June 10, as "Tree City Day".  Please join the Elyria Parks & Recreation Department and other city departments and organizations to discover ways to protect our earth, recycle and celebrate Arbor Day!  The Elyria Parks & Recreation Department Forester will be available to provide information on the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) that is effecting may Ash Trees throughout the city.  Watch for additional details on Channel 12 and the website.

Everyone loves a parade! Parade Day is held on Memorial Day Monday. Participants meet on Second St. next to the First Congregational Church. Families are welcome to attend.

The place to be on Thursdays 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. throughout the summer is our own downtown Ely Park.  Bring your lawn chair, lunch, sit back, listen and ENJOY!
