The registration Fee is $100. Registration is yearly with a renewal fee of $75 before Feb. 1^st. and $100 after Feb. 1^st.  A Certificate of Insurance naming the City of Elyria as the certificate holder, a copy of the workman’s compensation certificate and 3 letters of reference for Building II, III , Excavating, Moving & Demo, Roofing & Tinsmith.  OCILB certificate holders are not required to submit letters of reference.

Building II:  
Allows holder to build NEW residential (1, 2 & 3 family homes), additions, remodeling to residential only.  A test on the RCO is required.

Building III: 
Allows holder to do additions, remodeling to residential only, This includes: roofs, Siding, Windows, Doors, Garages, Sheds, Waterproofing, Porches, Decks, Patio Enclosures, Concrete work, Framing.

Excavating:
Allows holder to do site utility work, trenches, and sewers for residential and commercial.

Roofing & Tinsmith:
Allows holder to tear off and re-roof & roof re-builds, to residential and commercial.

Moving/Demolition:
Allows holder to move buildings & demolish buildings, residential and commercial.

Master Plumbing:
Allows holder to do all plumbing work. A copy of the State Certification (OCILB) must be provided.

Lawn Irrigation Contractor:
Allows you to construct, install, repair, wire, maintain or modify any system that connects to the City of Elyria water system to provide potable water for non-potables such as lawns, flowerbeds, shrubs, trees, ornamental pond fountains, waterfalls or similar uses.  Backflow devices must be installed.

Electrical I:
Allows you to do all electrical work:  residential and commercial. A copy of the State Certification (OCILB) must be provided.

Heating II:
Allows you to do new, replace, alter heating & cooling systems.  A copy of a State Certification (OCILB) must be provided.

Heating III:
Allows you to do wet heat (boilers).  A copy of a State Certification (OCILB) must be provided.

Heating V:
Allows you to do cooling only (refrigeration, coolers, air conditioning.).  A copy of a State Certification (OCILB) must be provided.
